Members of the Children's Choir are in grades 2-5 and they meet weekly on Tuesdays from 5:45-6:30pm in the Choir Room. At this level of the music program, students begin to read music, explore sacred music history, learn two-part anthems and songs, and lead worship not only through music, but through art, drama and liturgical dance. Students begin to deepen their experience of how music can be used to further their understanding of God's Word, share their faith with others, and grow their relationship with Jesus Christ. Emphasis is placed on: supporting one another in prayer, sharing in fun and fellowship, and working and learning together in a small group environment.
Students in this choir are eligible for participating in the Angel Ringers or Clarendon Ringers which meet immediately prior to Children's Choir rehearsals from 5:00-5:40pm every week. We'd love to have your child join us! Contact Lisa Gibbs-Smith, Director of Worship Arts, for more information.
