Our 8th through 12th grade students meet every Sunday from 6:00-8:00 pm. Meetings often begin with a homemade meal followed by games, activities and study. All youth are welcome at any time, regardless of church membership! Each summer the youth plan a mission trip either in the United States (New Orleans, western VIrginia, etc.) or internationally. They have traveled to Ecuador to help with a deforestation project and helped in a local after school program and went to Honduras to help with developing The Learning Center for Women. All funds are raised by the youth.
Youth in the 6th and 7th grade meet in Room 303 on Sunday mornings from 9:45 - 10:45 for class and on Friday evenings for a special Youth Group.
There are three ensembles in which students in grades 6-12 may participate and they rehearse on Sunday afternoons. The Wesley Ringers are broken into two separate bell choirs which meet from 4:00-4:45pm in the handbell room on the third floor and in Room 206 on the second floor. The Youth Choir meets from 5:00pm-6:00pm in the choir room. Both groups are led by Lisa GIbbs-Smith, Director of Worship Arts. These ensembles share their gifts during our worship services and provide wonderful mentoring opportunities when they combine with the younger children to sing or socialize together.
