Rodrigo Dacri Lima

Clarendon UMC welcomed Rodrigo in September 2025 as an Associate Pastor. Rodrigo is Brazilian, originally from Rio de Janeiro. He and his family moved to the U.S. a year ago so that Rodrigo could pursue his Master's in Divinity at Wesley Theological Seminary.

Rodrigo holds a bachelor's degree in theology from the Methodist College of São Paulo (2014-2017), focusing on pastoral counseling. He participated in a church revitalization program as a seminarian at the Methodist Church in São Paulo. During his training, he has also worked with homeless people and at the Methodist Community for Homeless People. Rev. Lima was a pastor at the Methodist Church of Brazil for over seven years, during which he worked with discipleship, missions, church planting, and leadership. In 2019, Rodrigo participated in a church planting and revitalization certification program with the Belo Horizonte Baptist Church in the Brazilian Sertão region, and in 2022, was able to join a team of pastors on a Methodist project with indigenous tribes in the Xingu region.

Rodrigo has been married to Ana Paula for 11 years and is the father of 2.5-year-old Laura. He grew up in a small coastal town in Rio de Janeiro, and his favorite place is the sea. He loves being in contact with nature, extreme sports, traveling, and experiencing new things. His favorite music genre is classical, but he has a special fondness for rock. He loves reading and is an avid consumer of all kinds of knowledge (from recipes to interesting facts about the universe), and he is passionate about barbecue and pizza.
