Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
– 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Worship is at the heart of Clarendon UMC. Each Sunday we come together from our diverse lives and circumstances to seek God, listen for guidance, and express to God our thanks and praise. We believe that God meets us where we are, whether lifelong churchgoers or those attending a worship service for the very first time. Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper) is celebrated every week during the service and is an opportunity for everyone who desires to have Christ in their life to gather at one communal table. In this holy meal, we remember the self-giving sacrifice of Jesus and the salvation granted to us in his resurrection.
Cherub Choir (children 3-years-old through 1st grade) and Children's Church (children 2nd-5th grade) are offered during the worship service as an opportunity for our younger members to experience age-appropriate learning and worship. Children attend the opening of the worship service and are led to Cherub Choir and Children's Church by teachers after the Children's Message. Nursery care is available for children and infants under three.
